Zipline Canopy Adventure Tour
Soar Through tThe Treetops on a Zipline
Calling adventure seekers of all ages! The Zipline Canopy Adventure Tour allows guests to explore the foothills of Puerto Rico’s national rainforest in an exhilarating and unique way. You’ll get the chance to speed through the treetops while enjoying the surrounding beauty of El Yunque National Rainforest.
Your tour begins with a warm welcome from one of our experienced tour guides. Depending on where you’re staying, our guides will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel (or another convenient place). Enjoy a 45-minute drive on the Eastern Highway to the foothills of the Luquillo Mountains. There, you’ll reach the entrance of the El Yunque National Rainforest.
At the zipline, our guides will help you put on gear, a harness, a helmet, and hand grips in preparation for your aerial ride through the trees. A short 10-minute walk through the rainforest will bring you to the start of the course. Here, you will be given a short demonstration of how to effectively use the zipline.
The complete zipline course consists of 5,000 feet of cable divided into eight different sections. Each platform is strategically located at different points within the canopy. You will move between the platforms by zipping down a series of double-wire cables (each capable of withstanding 2,000 pounds of weight). All landing platforms are equipped with safety gear, handrails, and a guide to help you land safely and continue on through the course.
You’ll begin on Platform 1 and zip to the second platform located approximately 150 feet away. Once you’ve started, you’ll continue moving from one platform to another. Each platform is a slightly different height (the highest is 50 feet tall), and intervals between platforms can extend as far as 2,000 feet! Half-way through your experience, you’ll be able to rappel down for a short break before resuming progress on the course.
