A Cultural Dive Into Puerto Rico’s Heritage
Travel back in time when you visit the historical Puerto Rican city of Loiza! This private tour introduces guests to the island’s African roots and beautiful ecology. You might even get to learn a bomba dance or two!
Your experience begins with a leisurely drive along the Piñones coast. During the ride, your certified tour guide will share interesting tidbits and historical facts about the region. As you venture further into Loiza, you’ll get to view the artistic creations of local plastic artists Samuel Lind and the Ayala Family. You will even be given a personal tour led by the resident artist himself!
After your exploration of the island’s art scene, you’ll participate in a private bomba class on the beach. Bomba is one of Puerto Rico’s traditional musical styles and is known for its distinctive rhythms and sensual dance movements. The Bomba style emphasizes the relationship between dancers, percussionists, and singers, which has made it an important part of Puerto Rican communities for generations.
Finish your excursion with a taste of Loiza’s unique gastronomic delicacies. Sample some of Piñones’ famous local fritters (you’ll regret not trying the ‘alcapurria’ and ‘bacalaito’) and seafood salads.

Please Note
- The starting time and order of stops on your tour will vary depending on day of the week. Tours that run Monday through Friday begin with a pick-up at 12:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday tours start around 9:00 am.
- Depending on your booking, your tour will either be private or semi-private (a small group).
- Unless you are booking a private tour, the minimum number of guests required for this excursion to move forward is four. If the minimum number of participants is not met, there is a chance that your tour will be canceled.
- Children aged three and under are free.
- If you are traveling with children under the age of six, a booster/car seat is required. Please notify Bespoke Lifestyle Management of this when you make your reservation. You may bring your own car seat or request one from our team. We can provide them as part of your tour, but they are subject to availability. Same-day requests are not accepted.
- You may extend your tour for an additional fee of $75.00 to $175.00 per hour. The cost variation depends on the size of your group and the requested amount of lunch and beach time. All requests must be made at the time of booking. No same-day requests will be accepted.
